Stroud CC run a flourishing youth section for both boys and girls of all age groups. We also run the ECB All Stars programme for 5-8 year olds. Our coaches encourage the children to have fun whilst learning the skills of cricket.
Over the years we have been fortunate that a number of our youth players have been selected to represent the Stroud & South Glos district and county development squads. This year is no exception.
The youth coaches and managers are all players from within the club and are regularly supported by the 1st XI team, including our South African professional.
Youth training for all age groups takes place on a Monday evening, 6pm-7.30pm. Our U9's take part in festivals throughout the summer, while the older age groups are entered into the Stroud Youth Leagues.
Matches take place on the following days:
U9's - Sunday
U11's - Tuesday
U13's - Wednesday
U15's - Thursday
We welcome all parental involvement, from helping out at training sessions, to scoring, umpiring and making teas. We encourage parents to come along and support their children, so please feel free to offer your help.
YOUTH SECTION MEMBERSHIP
Subscription fee for youth members is £40 with £10 discount for 2nd child in same family.
